Purpose built and designed for tailored and specific care, The Bayside Rehabilitation Centre is comprised of 30 private rooms each with an en suite bathroom, patient recreation areas, clinician support areas and a gymnasium. An additional level of car parking is also included in the new Centre.

The Masada Mother Baby Unit is a long-standing centre of excellence which offers a state of the art service for families getting to know their babies up to 24 months of age.

The unit offers weekend and residential programs designed to support parents and infants experiencing:

  • Infant Sleep Disorders
  • Irritability
  • Reflux and colic
  • Maternal exhaustion
  • Maternal anxiety
  • Adjusting to parenting
  • Post natal depression

Professor Jane Fisher is an academic Clinical and Health Psychologist and Jean Hailes Professor of Women’s Mental Health in the School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine at Monash University. As Consultant Clinical Psychologist to Masada Private Hospital’s Mother Baby Unit she has been a key contributor to both the development and ongoing innovation of the Unit.

Here she talks about some of the struggles new mums find when they first bring baby home and how the Mother Baby Unit gives mums the tools and resources to cope.
