Masada Private Hospital History

1970’s	Masada started life as a Jewish Nursing Home
1988	Australian Hospital Care Ltd (AHCL) purchased Masada and turned the Nursing home into a non-denominational acute medical surgical hospital
1990	The hospital was refurbished and new Maternity wing and consulting suites added
2000	AHCL plan to sell its entire hospital portfolio
2001	Mayne purchased the AHCL group
2002	Affinity Health purchased 51 hospitals owned by Mayne throughout Australia and Indonesia, including Masada Private Hospital.
2003	New dedicated Day Surgery Centre commissioned and theatre complex renovated, including 3 theatres, and stage 1, 2 & 3 recovery areas
2005	Ramsay Health Care purchased the entire Affinity Health portfolio of hospitals. See website.
2007	Fourth operating theatre constructed
2008	Mohs Dermatology Unit constructed
