Masada Early Parenting Centre

The Masada Early Parenting Centre, previously named the Mother Baby Unit, is a long-standing centre of excellence which offers a state of the art service designed to help parents overcome the physical, emotional and social challenges that a new baby can bring. The name change is in recognition of the diversity of families in the community and to ensure all families seeking to access the service feel welcome.

The Centre offers a five night Residential Program for parents and their infants up to 24 months of age experiencing:

  • Feeding difficulties
  • Infant sleep disorders
  • Irritability
  • Reflux and colic
  • Maternal exhaustion
  • Maternal anxiety
  • Adjusting to parenting

Our highly experienced and specialised multidisciplinary team provides a family-oriented program in a luxury facility consisting of 20 private suites and infant settling rooms. Personalised care is tailored to the individual needs of each family by our team of:

  • Experienced nurses with qualifications in Midwifery and Counselling
  • Maternal Child Health Nurses
  • Early Parenting Family Support Workers
  • Clinical Psychologists
  • General Practitioners

The Early Parenting Centre is designed to give families more opportunities to address the immense physical, emotional and social transitions associated with having a baby and bring about positive changes.

  • How every child can thrive by five - TED
    Minderoo Foundation has partnered with TED to showcase Thrive by Five’s global mission to raise awareness of the importance of the first five years of a child’s brain development. 
    The TED talk was shown in pre-launch trials to new parents at Glengarry Private Hospital and Joondalup Health Campus in WA, as well as three maternity hospitals in Kabul, Afghanistan.
    In the video, seven-year-old Molly makes a captivating pitch to parents, grandparents, caregivers and the wider community to engage more meaningfully and often with children in order to promote their brain development and set them up for life.
