Dr. David Ross is respected both in Australia and internationally as a plastic surgeon. At his Melbourne, Victoria practice, he undertakes cutting-edge surgery, along with advanced reconstructive surgery and non-surgical skin care. As well as having a busy private practice in both general plastic surgery and cosmetic surgery, Dr. Ross also has public hospital appointments at Monash Health and Peninsula Health. He is currently in charge of both adult and paediatric plastic surgery at the Monash Medical Centre campus of Monash Health, where he is a leading team member in both the Monash Cleft Palate and Facial Anomalies Clinic as well as the Monash Breast Reconstruction Clinic for women with breast cancer. He has been the supervisor of Plastic Surgery training at Monash Health for 10 years, overseeing the training of 25 Plastic Surgeons in that time. He is also appointed as a senior Plastic Surgeon at the Frankston Hospital campus of Peninsula Health, where he has worked since 1996. At this facility he is involved in both the elective and emergency plastic surgery treatment of Frankston Hospital patients.
Dr. David Ross has published many articles on reconstructive and cosmetic plastic surgery, and uses his training and experience to educate general practitioners, junior hospital resident doctors, nurses, and other plastic surgeons in Melbourne and across Australia. He is a regular participant in the annual meetings of the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons, Australian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and the Australasian College of Surgeons, where he frequently presents his research outcomes to his colleagues. Dr. Ross performs more than 80 surgical procedures each month in his practice.
